Thank you for the responses David and Mitch. One device is a Cisco 3750 with CDP, but the other is a Cisco ASA, which doesn¹t support CDP. I¹ve got another ASA on the same switch where both links discovered properly. Additionally, the discovery debug shows that the missing connection was found at layer 2 but it looks like it was discarded at layer 3. I¹ve bundled all this up and sent it to Support. If I get anything interesting back, I¹ll update the thread.
