I'm in the process of setting up Alarm Notifier and SANM and I have been able
to generate emails based on alarms that appear in the landscape for
individual devices.

What I have been unable to locate in the documentation is how to generate
alarms based on outage of a Service within Service Manager. If I have a
Service defined as 'Application A' and 'Application A' has a critical or
major alarm, how can I get an email alert stating that 'Application A is in
critical alarm' because Server XYZ under that Service is alarming? In a
nutshell I want the alarm status of a defined Service to generate an email
notification.

Can someone advise on a direction of how to go about doing this?

Thanks
Chris
