Hi Doyle, The spectroserver is polling the devices on 5 min interval & no traps have been configured. There are multiple downstream devices to go through while spectrum reaches the end devices. Can you plz look into the snapshot for fault isolation if its configured correctly. ![]() We model the device as 802.3(fanout) only. ![]() ![]() Let me know if i am doing something wrong here. If they are then fault isolation will start immediately versus a polling interval.Next, when you say link I assume you mean WAN. Finally, all devices, including switches, should be modeled for proper fault isolation to occur. Without switches modeled I can imagine a router with a fanout (or not if fanouts are not modeled) connected to 200 servers. If the servers do not have resolved connections to a port on the router, either through a switch or fanout or directly then fault isolation will not work. Cheers, Michael F. We have been monitoring customer routers & servers at remote locations. There is a big issue here as when the link goes down we get device has stopped responding to polls for all servers which is not genuine to the customer. Ideally when the link for the router connecting to the server goes down it should suppress all the servers to send those alarms.i.e there should be only an alarm on upstream device & remaining downstream devices should be suppressed state. Let us know how do we approach to rectify the issue. Appreciation in advance.
