Well, SS is constantly crashing and it's version 8.1 so there is no ca support. We're waiting for new hardware to upgrade.
I have 3GB switch, and SS proces is around 2.7GB also:))

But something causes him to crash and I cannot figure it out what. Probably it eats memory to 3Gb and stop.

What are your threads tuning setting, max available values?

Subject: AW: [spectrum] SS terminated with error "Feb 08 15:07:10 ERROR at CsLscpe2.cc(3006): couldn't add key to find table"

Hi Ivana,

the number of models should not be the problem (depends on the machine, though) – we have databases with more models (up to 350000).

However – as the dump files could not be created – I guess your disk was full and that really caused the crash.

If that was not the case – you might have been run out of memory. Even if the machine has plenty of RAM – if the Server reaches a limit at round about 4GB – it crashes.

Keep in mind - more models means more memory usage. With our 350000 models the Server uses 2.75 GB shortly after startup (growing steady).

If both possibilities did not apply - you should open an support call.

Cheers,

Joern

Betreff: [spectrum] SS terminated with error "Feb 08 15:07:10 ERROR at CsLscpe2.cc(3006): couldn't add key to find table"

Hi list,

Just wanted to ask if any of you ran accross this error message when SS crashed:

Feb 08 15:07:10 ERROR at CsLscpe2.cc(3006): couldn't add key to find table
An application fault has occured.
Failure during creation of full memory diagnostic file to 'E:\win32app\SPECTRUM\SS\support\SpectroSERVER.mdmp' (error 0)
Failure during creation of compact diagnostic file to 'E:\win32app\SPECTRUM\SS\support\SpectroSERVER_20110208_1507.dmp' (error 0)
Appending thread state information to .moot.trace file
Exiting.

We have about 200000 models, I know it's a lot, but we enabled 3Gb switch. So far there were no problems for a long time.

Is there any way in Spectrum we could see what user are doing (for example doing a search over ports that could cause crash)

Maybe tuning threads would help (please see current state)?

thank you,

ivana
