Hi Calvin, After Systemedge 5.x there are many changes in the logfile monitoring. At Page 346 in the SE_user guide of systemedge 5.1 (VAIM 12.6) you find:
"file" Specifies the complete path and file name of the log file to monitor, or the complete path of the directory to monitor. You can specify this parameter including wildcard characters such as * and ?. ........ The only problem is, the log file name is date stamped and changes daily. I remember that sysEdge did not have the ability to monitor a 'name*.log' file. You basically had to tell it the specific name of the log file and its location. Has anyone ever developed/seen a workaround for that? Do any of the later versions of sysEdge have the capability to use wildcards in log file names? Thanks.
