We moved from Solaris to Linux (Redhat, HP DL380 G7 64bit, 48G RAM). Our 'biggest' server has 7807 devices on it which equates to 152581 models.
We did a Spectrum sizing beforehand to confirm the size and whether it would handle the load. CPU and memory hover around 15-20% and 7-10% respectively. We are starting to experience stability issues and was wondering if we are perhaps sized improperly. We are running CentOS with 4G Ram on a pretty nice ESXi server. The ESXi server is at about half capacity. We have around 200,000 models total with about 2000 devices. We will be moving to Red Hat soon. Can anybody comment on this? Michael S.
