I'll be surprised if the price tops $100 USD, but I guess it depends on how many they make and how big the demand is. If they become rare, I'm sure they'll fetch that and more on Ebay.
As for speedcubing with it, the video on their site demonstrates the ability to "shortcut" single-layer and double-layer twists (i.e. turn R while U and/or U1 are misaligned). They also depict using the index finger to quickly twist the U face, as well as the U1 layer. So it seems that speedcubing would certainly be possible.
