Hello everybody. I had my first successful blind solve the other day! I didn't time it, but I did another one today and it took about 15 minutes, including memorization.
I used the method described on Macky's site, but instead of assigning numbers to each piece to memorize the cycles, I use letters A-H for the corners and A-L for the edges, and then create a sentence with the letters in the cycle. For example, the corner cycles from my solve today were (AECB)(HE) and the edge cycles were (ALCJFDGBKI)(EH). Then I came up with "All Excellent Cubes Break. His for Example." for the corners, and "All Lousy Cubes Just Find Dirty Garage Boxes to Keep In. Especially His." for the edges. For me at least, it seems a bit easier to remember a sentence than it is to remember a random sequence of numbers. Does anyone else do anything similar to this, or know of any other memorization tricks that have been helpful in blind solving? Duane ------------------------ Yahoo!
