It locks up and stopped turning smoothly.  I even lubed it last week
to try to revive it, but it is still acting up.  It adds at least a
few unnecessary seconds to every solve I take. :(  I will take some
last-chance measures to see if I can get it back up to speed, but even
if I can, I need to start preparing a new cube for the Caltech winter
competition.
