Hi All -

I'm in the process of switching my 4-look LL order from:

OE (Orient Edges) / PC (Permute Corners) / OC (Orient Corners) / PE 
(Permute Edges)

to:

OE / OC / PC / PE

As I work through it, I'm finding that I'm getting more "lucky" 
solves, where I end up skipping one of the above steps.

Thinking about it for a while, I came up with the following 
analysis: 

Once I OC, the four corners (A, B, C, D) are in some order. If 
I "fix" A, then there are only 6 orders for B, C, D = BCD, BDC, CBD, 
CDB, DBC, DCB (let's say I'm looking at them from the top). So, 1/6 
of the time I get to skip PC. I also get a PE skip when the PC 
routines I use also do the right PE (call this proto-PLL).

Sound like reasonable logic to others? I'm sure that with my old 
order there were step skips as well, but it feels like more. An 
average of two " step skips" in a set of 12 runs is a nice situation.

And, yes, I know the next statement: Learn PLL and you'll always 
have one less step (4 to 3)! I'm working on it!
