Hello Everyone I usually wash my cubies in soapy water and then clean them w/ paper towels. Then spray silicone and reassemble. I know that it's unnecessary, but I probably do this twice a month. Sometimes once a week.
The whole process is similar to changing the oil in a car. New lubricant, for moving mechanical parts.
