Well i still think this sport or hobby, whatever you call it is still somewhat male oriented.
I'll tell you my experience...i am in the process of setting a rubik's cube club at my univ and to that effect i had called a informal meeting of all those interested in the cube....i had publicised it quite well and about 25 people showed up which is quite above my expectations btw. But the real fun thing is that not even a single female turned up. So i think this clearly shows that cubing is not much the liking of the female population. Also the statistics on this group or in any cubing competition also show the same results. But i still cannot understand as to what exactly makes cubing so male dominated? Is there some genes in males which are more tuned to puzzle solving or what? Sachin.
