Cel� fait un petit moment que je tourne autour du pot.... Tout
marche impec.... Connection directe sur certaines URL, masquerading
etc....
Seul soucis : impossible de joindre http://java.sun.com (ca met "3h"
de connection pour finalement me dire que le site n'est pas
accessible). Ca ping bien, r�soud bien donc c'est un autre probl�me
que la r�solution et la connexion "IP" stricto sensus.
Il y a d'autres URL qui ne fonctionnent pas non plus mais je ne les
ai pas en tete....
Ce qui me frustre le plus c'est que les machines que je masquerade
fonctionnent bien sur l'URL de http://java.sun.com (ces machines
utilisent Win Meuh!) alors que moi sur mon linux qui est passerelle
rien....
Lorsque je fais un petit netstat voici ce que j'obtiens (juste la
ligne concernant java.sun.com):
$ netstat
tcp 0 1 AToulouse-101-1-2:32814 web6.java.Sun.:www-http
SYN_SENT
Curieux non?!
Pour info, j'ai les bonnes adresse DNS dans MES resolv.conf....
Voici mon /etc/ppp/peers/adsl (sans le user biensur)...

J'ai essay� avec les options du howto de Beno�t mais je n'ai jamais
eu de r�ussite....
J'ai aussi test� sans les options de masq et les r�gles ipchains en
entr�es sorties : m�mes r�sultats...
Des id�es?

I've been searching for some clue for a little time now.... All is
working fine.... Direct connexion on some URL, masquerading, etc...
Only problem : the machine is unable to connect http://java.sun.com
(it takes "3 hours" to finally respond the site is not accessible).
Ping works very well indeed, thus I think this is another problem
the the name resolution or IP Connexion stricto sensus.
Some other URL still doesn't work but I forgot them....
The trouble is that machine using my server as gateway can connect
on http://java.sun.com through masquerading (using Win Me) whereas
I'm not able to with my gateway server.
When I netstat the connexion I get (just for the java.sun.com URL)
$ netstat
tcp 0 1 AToulouse-101-1-2:32814 web6.java.Sun.:www-http
SYN_SENT
Strange non?!
FYI, I've the good DNS addresses in my resolv.conf in /etc/ &
/etc/ppp

but it still fails ....
I also tried without masquerading & ipchains input/output
deny/reject rules : same results...
Any Ideas?
