The modem doesn't synch and am not sure what's going on but can still guess ;-) (hey, even if I'm wrong - it's a learning experience) I suspect the modem isn't being found did see a message at set-up that said something about usb being put into loop back but can I find it in any logs - no. Find attached syslog extract Will use a different card any suggestions need a pci card for old fujitsu ergopro-e. Any suggestions ? The KT7A is a marvellous board. Danny, it looks like you have a problem similar to mine. i.e. the modem_run program runs ok (modem syncs, green lights etc.) but the pppoax do not. Post your /tmp/pppoa2.log and what syslog logs for pppd. Also info about your distro, system, "lspci", "lsmod", etc. Are your USB ports on a PCI card? I think Belkin uses the Opti chipset, but (gurus on the list please correct me if I am wrong) if your modem syncs then the USB subsystem is working and the problem is pppd/pppoax. VIA chispset : find another one Opti chispset : i had problems with 2 ports USB chipset. No problems with 4 ports USB chipset If another one, may be you should test with another chipset.
