Hi all,

Can I pick your brains for a second.

My setup is a PIII 700 640Mb (Tyan S1854 Mobo with VIA Chipset) running SUSE Linux 7.1
personal, Kernel 2.2.20 and pppoa3

What seems to be happening atm is the following (see log entry)

----

Jan 6 21:45:13 posix kernel: uhci: host controller halted. very bad

---

Shortly after that (crontab every 5 mins) the system will obviously try to reconnect.
I also get kernel messages saying

usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout

Does anyone else have this problem with a VIA chipset board or do INTEL boards have
the same prob, and finally, is there a solution.

BTW I cannot run Kernel version > 2.2.XX due to having a DVB-S multicasting EON's
service to my windows box.

Regards, Michael
