Hi,

I've been pondering two things, firstly does it make any difference if
you use microcode from the windows drivers (which are a later version,
but possibly not much difference in microcode) or the microcode supplied
with the linux drivers??

The second thing is slightly longer. I am connected to BT Openworld ADSL
and at the moment we are having a lot of trouble keeping a stable
connection. It is not the ppp side, when the phone line is used (the one
that shares with the ADSL) it quite often causes the modem to lose
syncronisation with the network. Sometimes sync is recovered when the
phone is replaced on hook sometimes it needs persuading. This, I know,
is BT's problem and we have a technical query with them at the moment.
What I would like to know is if there is any feedback through the driver
when sync is lost?? If not is there enough information coming back from
the modem to allow me to include this into the driver??

Regards,

Matt
