Hi All,
I just installed the driver but I'm having problems getting my
Speedtouch 3330 USB ADSL modem to start using you 1.2 beta 1 driver.
I've followed the Speedtouch HOWTO closely, but when I execute:
> sudo service speedtouch start
or:
> sudo modem_run -m -f /usr/src/mgmt/alcaudsl.sys
Nothing happens, then the script returns with a failure. The modem seems
to work fine on my Windoze partition. When I check my system log I get
the following:
**--START messages
Jun 1 17:15:41 localhost modem_run[5587]: modem_run version 1.2-beta1
started by ricardo uid 0
Jun 1 17:15:44 localhost kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Jun 1 17:15:44 localhost kernel: usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 3

Jun 1 17:15:46 localhost kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Jun 1 17:15:46 localhost kernel: usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 3
ep 0x5 len 883 ret -110
Jun 1 17:15:46 localhost modem_run[5587]: BLOCK1
**--END
I've checked and the /etc/ppp/peers/adsl is pointing to the right pppoa3
script and the files are in the right place. I'm using the alcaudsl.sys
file from the Window driver which is supposed to be OK (I can't find
mgmt.o anywhere anymore). All my USB modules appear to be loaded
correctly. I've even deleted my old PPP connection from the Network
set-up tool. I can't think what else the problem would be. I've tried
the latest CVS version.
Can someone please advise?
TIA...
