You can't compare firmwares contained in ELF (linux), in Win32DLL
(Win32) or even naked (on MacOSX)

You have first to extract the real firmware from that files. Look at the
extract.c source, there is a main that has been commented. You can use
that C source to build a firmware extractor. Thus you will be able to
really compare firmware accross platforms and versions.

If someone could centralize all firmware files and make a temporary
public access to them so i'll do this myself and will put a firmware
recognizer in extract.c. So modem_run will be able to tell what firmware
version is used.

Thanks.

NB: it seems i'm banned from the speedtouch.com and speedtouchdsl.com
webservers, they refuse me access at TCP leveln while othre users on the
IRC channel can access it w/o problem. So i can't download the firmwares
myself. Why so much hatery ? ;-)
