Hello again,

I'm having problems making this modem work with pppoe.
After loading the firmware into the modem and check if everything is ok in
/proc/net/atm/devices and /proc/net/atm/speedtch\:0, I run the following
command:
br2684ctl -b -c 0 -a 0.0.35
which creates the interface successfully.
The problem is when I try to run pppoeconf or even configure the nas0
interface with ifconfig, I get a kernel panic with the following errors:
Attempt to release alive socket
or
Attempt to release alive packet

My configuration is as follows:
- Debian sarge with debian kernel 2.6.3-1-k7 (also tried with a custom
2.6.4 and 2.4.25 kernel with the same results)
- speedtch, pppoe and br2684 kernel modules loaded
- silver speedtouch 330 (modem_run says it's revision 0200)
- KQD6P1 + KQD6P2 firmware - the ZZZLP1 + ZZZLP2 doesn't work, which may
be the problem, I guess.

Can anyone help me on this problem?
Also, I would like to know if there is a way to use pppoe without using
the kernel module, because, without the kernel module, I don't have an ATM
device, so I can't run br2684ctl.

Thanks in advance and best regards.
Ricardo Seabra
