hey again, i tryed to call speedtch manualy and the funny thing is i didn't get any log messages. why? because of the following:

RP-PPPoE plugin version 3.3 compiled against pppd 2.4.2 pppd: In file /etc/ppp/peers/speedtch: unrecognized option 'nas0' unrecognized option 'nas0'...real nice. i checked the speedtch file and it looked like this: cat /etc/ppp/peers/speedtch lcp-echo-interval 10 lcp-echo-failure 3 noipdefault defaultroute user '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' noauth noaccomp nopcomp noccp novj holdoff 4 persist maxfail 25 updetach usepeerdns plugin rp-pppoe.so nas0 in fact i presume that the script went all the to the last line and than stopped, since 'nas0' is not one of the available options to pppd, as i could confirm in the man pages. So, maybe this line should be erased or maybe some keyword or whatever is missing? btw marco, i didn't try speedtouch-setup (at least yet), because i tried it, or something very similar (such as adsl-setup under mandrake) and i kept getting errors and very few information on how to solve them.
