Hi Herva, if I understand right: you did everything before PPP Over ATM, and
your computer still boots? By the way, if your computer hangs during booting
you can try (1) hitting ctrl-C (if you are lucky it will kill whoever is
hanging);
or (2) booting into single user mode, which should allow you to fix things up
(how to do this depends on your boot loader - lilo or grub?).
Try this:
(1) Install the rpms at the start of the PPPoE section. Reboot your computer.
Does it reboot OK?
If so, then
(2) Modify /etc/ld.so.conf as described in the PPPoE section and run ldconfig.
Did you get any error messages? Reboot your computer. Does it reboot OK?
If so, then try this as root:
modprobe br2684
Does this hang your computer. Was there an error message? Also, please do
cat /etc/rc.modules
What is the output?
By the way, fedora 3 or fedora 4?
