ah, great! that little line of commands worked wonders. I don't know what went wrong with the linux-osb.org page. The computer did not tell me anything. And I am not yet aware of which log to look into to get the information.
Could you explain what each of those commands does? Doesn't the modem_run commmand flash the modem? How would I go about to do this automatically on startup? Add those lines to some file in /etc/init.d or? Thanks a lot for the help!
