i know how this functions. i thought that it was implicit in what i wrote
that i tried the comand iptables from root, first with sudo, then with the
su root and then with a complete root session, but it always says that it
doesn't exist as a command. now i tried to search for the files of iptables
on hd and surprise: they aren't on my hd, but the suse firewall starts. yast
says that the libs are on, but when i look in the dirs they are supposed to
be in they aren't in. it's the first time this things happens. what it
strikes me is that the libs when i installed the distro were on and now they
are gone somewere, now there are acls that at install weren't on and all the
logs are empty, but there's nobody that works on it, but me. i wonder how
this could happen.
