Hi all, I'm afraid it's another newbie question!
My System: I'm running fedora core 4 (x86-64) on an AMD 3500. I have the black thomson speedtouch 330 which I have checked uses revision 4.00. The Procedure I followed: Using the correct firmware for my revision I have created the *.bin files in the /lib/firmware directory. I've edited both chap & pap-secrets with my username and password. My ISP uses PPPoA so I followed the instructions on editing ifcfg-ppp0, substituting in my details. The problem I'm having: I restarted my computer as per the intructions but when the boot sequence reaches "Bringin up interface pppo" it waits for about 20 seconds then both light turn green. The screen then jumps into another resolution where I can only see information regarding earlier booting procedures (e.g. Press 'I' for interactive setup...).
