Passive Dope:
All about the libatm.so is at linux-atm.sourceforge.net. Sources,
etc.
Get a linux-atm-2.4.1.tar.gz. Dont forget a patch:
linux-atm-2_4_1-gcc-4_patch.txt, or nothing will run. Yoy apply the patch
and with luck it will compile without a hitch. You put it in /usr/lib, or
in /usr/lib64, run ldconfig and make the symbolic links
ln -s libatm.so.1.0.0 libatm.so.1
and I think the linker will find it.
I cannot remember the name of the site with the general instructions
for Fedora 5, but I found it quickly with Google. With a good libatm you
will compile br2684ctl.c. I used the script
#!/bin/bash
cc -o br2684ctl br2684ctl.c -latm
br2684ctl -c 0 -a -b 0.35
run and run it until it gets the correct answers and nas0 (?) is created.
And I repeat: run it by hand, not at boot. The script which contains the
br2684ctl etc. is that I call "dial". I put it in /root.
Good luck!!!
Juan Carlos
