Hi,

I just heart that on some laptops, you can hear the network traffic or
graphics operations. It seems that capacitors are responsible for the high
frequency tones. I am far from a musican, but I would expect my speedtouch
tones are somewhere in the range of 10 to 16 kHz.

Just wondering, is anybody else hearing high frequency tones from its
speedtouch (put it next to your ear to hear it). I have a green revision 0
(0.01) modem, shown here

Just curious, if I would get rid of that noise, when I would by another modem
(and then starting to take apart the old one to see what really make the
noise).

Thanks,
Rainer
