Noise should be related to the wifi radio part in this case. I have one cheap 5 ports ethernet switch that could be considered noisy too on an office environnement. Noise come from coil bobbin in this case and even putting resine all around the bobbin, same noise remain. It is downstair, nobody heard it now. Never heard a speedtouch usb.
