(bytes vs. bits). I find this very confusing because what the ISP advertises and what most services report are different. But in addition to the syslog if I run a speedcheck for instance at http://speedcheck.ispconnect.co.uk/ I get the following result: Your current bandwidth reading is: 166.20kbps which means you can download at 20.78 KB/sec. from our servers. And I would think this should give me a result that is closer to 2 mb? Also it gives a little graph rating my service and it puts me in between 150 kbps and 256 kbps DSL service not anywhere near 2 Mbps. Correct me if I'm wrong -- otherwise please let me know if this is likely a problem with the provider or the driver/configuration.
