You've hit about the only point where I made a small change to the templates; the problem was that the starting <div> was in a block, while the closing </div> was outside, which is not very sensible. I've now changed it a bit more, so that the sidebar isn't in the document block any longer, but you'll need to remove the "<div class="document">" tag from your document block.
