We would like to change the arguments of the figure placement in the Sphinx
LaTeX output. It seems like that the LaTeX output is hard coded to assume the
arguments [htbp]. For our purposes, we wanted [H].
We have created a completely hacky solution by adding the following to the
latex_preamble in conf.py:
\\usepackage{float}
\\let\\origfigure=\\figure
\\renewenvironment{figure}[6]{
\\origfigure[H]}
{\\endlist}
This works, although we recognize it's, shall we say, suboptimal. Does anyone
have a better solution?
