I can't find a clear statement anywhere of whether Sphinx (and in particular the autodoc and doctest extensions, since "normal" Sphinx can be run with 2.x even when documenting 3.x) can be used with Python 3 (or when it will, or how that works is progressing).
I've seen a comment saying Python 3 support will be in 1.1 (but also one aiming for 0.6); a post blaming Jinja (which now works on 3.x); a post suggesting this is a Google SoC project; a bug issue with a patch for 2to3 (which suggests trunk does not work with 3), but nothing to clearly say what, if anything, will actually work. Even if this isn't supported, an issue for the work or some kind of documentation describing progress would be useful to people that care (I can't find either). Please, what is the status? Will the development version work via 2to3 with a little patching? Is it still expected inthe 1.1 release?
