I didn't do any serious testing with the iothread enabled (yet). Last time I
tried enabling iothread caused problems even without spice so I didn't bother.
Was a few months ago though, so things can have changed meanwhile ...
Ok, I just enabled iothread to see if it made any difference with
usb redirection which it does not. I'll disable it again.
BTW, if it is best left disabled, why do the build instructions on
the wiki suggest to enable it ? :
