Just back from the tire shop myself, I can tell you the 175/70r13s fit quite well and drastically improve handling over the skinny stock sizes. I didn't end up getting them, but I was eyeing some Sumitomo tires from the Tire Rack. They appeared to be the most aggressive tire available in that size, the price was great and the feedback they had from customers appeared to be above average. I've never tried any Sumitomos myself, so I can't recommend them that way, however I have dealt with the Tire Rack and can say that their service is top notch. Hope this helps.
