Hi,

I have a copy of the booklet "Triumph Spitfire Competition Preparation",
published by the Standard-Triumph Competition Department in 1964. The
ignition timing recommendation there is to set it to 13 degrees advance
static as a starting point. Then make slight adjustments & time it between
two points with a stopwatch to get the best setting.
