Charging a battery in reverse will make it heat up, possibly leak or burst, and kill it dead. It won't repolarize it as the metals and acids inside have their own properties that determine that the negative pole will be negative, and positive on the positive one. They aren't swappable. At least, not on a lead acid battery.
