Dave,
Are you sure about the wire size?? Looking at my parts car,the
2 wires that go to the shifter are 18 ga.or smaller. 12 ga.wire would never
fit through the shifter. I'm no electrician,but I do know 12 GA. is capable
of handling 20 AMPS (A.C.).
