Since getting my car back on the road, I've noticed that the clutch pedal action seems stiff and graunchy. And it is making a creaking noise. The master cylinder is new a year or so ago, the slave is old. I've had the engine in and out lately - the clutch was about 3 years old, maybe 10K miles. I lightly greased the splines and the face of the throwout bearing when I put it back together, per Haynes. It feels like a car with a bad clutch cable, but of course it is hydraulic.

Any thoughts?
