I am rebuilding a basket case GT6. I have been cleaning up the old hardware using a wire buffing wheel on my bench grinder with good results. It seems like I have cleaned up hundreds of bits and I am still not finished. Only a few of them have been so mangled that I thought they should be replaced once they are cleaned. Some others have already mentioned this, but most of the stuff that came on the car is of a better quality than what the average hardware store has on hand. Dave >I know this is a stretch, but those of you that have done a complete rebuild >of an engine, front suspension, etc, have undoubtedly ended up with a >bag-bucket-box of nuts and bolts. Now, I'd like to replace all of this with >new hardware, and my handy parts catalogue (British spelling on purpose) has >fantastic exploded views of where everything goes, as well as a part number >for every nut and bolt.. but the point if this note is this: I'd like to go >to the hardware store with a list of bolt sizes, etc. example, 3/8ths by 4 >in bolt... and fill up my basket with my complete list. Is there a 'list' >of nuts and bolts sizes, quantity, etc?
