No need to make it so complex Bill. If you slip in a pipe section and tack it in place, there's no need to modify the iron manifold or use a different gasket. It'll all fit together and bolt up exactly the same.
I don't have one in hand at the moment, but I think the gasket holes and iron manifold section holes are large enough to allow for even the use of an identical diameter pipe section tack welded onto the top of the lower manifold pipes. At worse, a touch of grinding may be necessary, absolutely no need to visit a machine shop. >>> "Bill Davies" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 4/5/2005 6:04:07 AM ...This is notthe same as just adding a piece of tube, the opening in the manifold iswidened so that where the sleeve is fitted the overall bore remainsconstant. If you want to do this with a 1500 manifold you are going to haveto speak nicely to the man at the machine shop. You're also going to need adifferent gasket as it's effective bore will now need to be wider to clearthe sleeve ----------------------------------------------------- The information contained in this communication may be confidential, is intended only for the use of the recipient named above, and may be legally privileged.
