What's wrong with it? I've been running a stromberg for over 20 years with no problems. I *thought* it was out of whack once for the longest time and tried everything to tune it with
no sucess, but it turned out to be a plugged cat.

Point is, the stromberg isn't a precision piece of equipment but it gives tolerably good results over
a wide range of adjustment. Most "carb problems" actually lie elsewhere.

Listers,

I have had it! I am sick to death of this darn Stromberg. I am convinced
that it will never be right. I want to either buy a brand new 150CD or
change it out for something better. I would even consider having it
rebuilt, but I'm not convinced that this is the original carb. So, I am
seeking advice. SHMBO has authorized the outlay of cash (her words..."Time
to sh*t or get off the pot") for this project. I can't afford a brand new
Weber conversion but could consider a good second hand unit. Personally, I
have nothing against the Stromberg, except that the ones I have are junk.
Would consider a new 150CD or a new S.U. HIF. Looking for some
help/answers.
