Apparently, the switch to the thermostat is on the "switched" circuit, meaning that the power to the fan, even when hot, shuts off when the car ignition is turned off. During the summer, this has been causing some heat sink and hard starting in my 1980 Spit. Has anyone tried to re-wire the circuit so that the fan can continue to operate even after the car is shut down?
