There have been at least 2 people here in Houston that did it. Just swap with your same engine and year car but auto tranny. You will loose your rev limiter (but that's what the MSD is for) and your "SES" light will stay on because it's not getting any communication from the auto tranny that it wants. Everything else should be ok from what I have seen.

Subject: [SPOC] PCM Swap

Team:

I have a 97 SOHC w/ the manual transmission. There have been many posts on different boards regarding swapping of the manual and auto pcm’s. Can anyone shed any light on this and clarify the results?

Would like specifics regarding what I could expect my swapping to the auto pcm, if it is even possible to do.

Thanks,

Scott W. Thomas, MCSE
