Team:

I would like to update all of you on the Hotshot Header install that I
recently posted about.

After all the hassles that I had with the header, I decided to call the
manufacturer today to let them know of my dissatisfaction with their
product.

I spoke with Angie at Hotshot and explained all of the problems that I
had with the fitment and design of the header for the SOHC Saturn. She
explained that they were aware of these problems and that the SOHC
header was to have been out of production and pulled from shelves so
that no more were sold. (explains my 3 month wait for mine).

Hotshot is currently having a new design Tri-Y header manufactured for
the SOHC cars. This new header will be available sometime in the next
few months.

Because of the known issues with the current design, I am to submit a
warranty claim to them for the defective unit and they will replace it
with the new style when it comes available.

In the meantime, I was authorized to have the downpipe welded to the
header outlet to prevent the system from leaking and possibly coming
apart.

After having the components welded this evening and installing it back
on the car, I will say that the unit looks very nice and seems to have
increased throttle response and power.

For those of you that are considering getting a header for your SOHC, I
would suggest you wait it out for the new design. For those of you that
already have one of these units, it might not hurt to contact Hotshot
and explain your situation. They may be able to help you out with a
replacement.

Cheers!
