unfortunately unlike most of the well-wired gang on the Spooks mailing list I don't have my amateur radio licence, don't have any ham radio equipment (though I dare to dream!) yet...and unlike most of you I haven't picked up too many numbers stations. Great to read everyone's postings though. As for equipment? You can get into the expensive stuff like the Icom but mine right now is a Sangean ATS-818, was given to me so I'm not sure how much it is these days, for those on a really tight budget, Scarecrow, how about the Grundig YB300 PE? I've got that too, about $99 Canadian, and I take it just about everywhere. It has a digital tuner so you know what frequency you've got. Anyway, happy numbers hunting! And BTW I edit a column for the Canadian International DX Club magazine, so any suggestions for my Forum column, wing them my way. 73s, Sue Sue Hickey, Forum editor, the Messenger Canadian International DX Club _____________________________________________ "I am in terrible ignorance of everything." That's a BIT out of my price range, considering I haven't gotten a paycheck in over 4 months. I'll try to borrow something for now, and maybe look into picking up the Kenwood again after I start getting paid again.
