That is a possibility, but I'm intrigued by the "buzz" at the start of
each transmission.  There could be data being sent in some format we don't
know about.

Well... I'm on record (see yesterday's posting frenzy). The variations in the tone strengths showing up in the waterfall display were identical in LSB and USB, so I think it's real data.

But, for what?  I wonder if it's a training tool for spooks starting
out... the "Varmint" is an easy indicator that you are centered on
frequency.
