During the Cold war era, Canada hosted many radio stations, because the country location (between US and USSR via North Pole) was strategic to catch messages. Some stations are still in the business today. Many were located in remote areas, but some of them are as close to Montreal as a 2 hours drive. Elwood, Montreal

Do you have some recordings? Wich ENIGMA IDs have been broadcasted in Canada? About the station the agent was listening, I agree with you and Alpha. It's sure one of the morse stations we can hear here in Quebec. Can we now suspect the M12 or M13 to belong to the SVR (the new KGB)? Alpha also talked about polytone stations and E7.
