Several have asked what type of slide printer I use. I use a Model A/10 manufactured by Trac Industries, Inc., 26 Old Limekiln Road, Doylestown, PA 18901. (215) 345-9311. FAX (215) 345-0633. The company has several models, so give 'em a call or write for information.
I know several fans who use these machines and all seem satisfied, as I am. The printer couples to your computer and you input the title/date information on the screen. When the information is as you want it, just "click" and it prints on the slide with a ink jet system. You can print as many as 10 lines of information, 5 on the top and 5 below the image. I use the 8-line format (four above and four below) as it makes the printing a little larger. The machine has a hopper and you place all the slides in it that have the same caption, push a button, and the printer does its thing. The caption info is easy to edit and store. The whole process is easy. As mentioned in my earlier post, I put a lot of information on my slides and this is the way to do it. The machine is not cheap, but prices may have come down by now. I've been using mine for about five years with no problems. If you need specific information, email me direct or call Trac.
