Actually, that comparison/analogy was mine. Sure, Beavis and Butt-head
symbolize, intentionally, the dumbing down of society as those two idiots sit
around all day watching music videos and clicking on the remote. The
comparison is that during the longest and dumbest railroad videos, we'd be
looking stupidly at the screen with our eyes drooping and pointing the remote
at the t.v./vcr to fast forward or simply eject the tape. Often, though,
we'd throw the tapes in the machine and do other work -- especially good ones
got further write up, and junk didn't. We'd get about 6-12 videos per month,
and usually four or five got any mention in any issue. And that latter
number is going down as Kimler isn't editing as tight as I did, or looking at
as many, and as the column space gets more demands put on it. There's one
closet up at R&R that's litterally packed with videos. They're on shelves
and organized, but there's a lot of 'em. Hey, and notice that I didn't make
any claims as to which one of us was Reamus and which was Railhead!
