This collar offers great control of the lens and is especially useful for scenics, nature, people, Railroad Action, etc. - both horizontal and vertical format shots are made easily with the lens properly balanced (instead of attaching the body to the tripod with the heavy lens on the front...). Plus, setup is done in a flash with the 360 degree placement of the lens...
