Recently someone on this list asked if anyone knew of any good books on Adobe Photoshop. I asked my Photoshop class instructor about this last night, and he said there are over forty that he knows of and none are the same. He declined to recommend one, but suggested that we browse through them all in the library. Anyway, after flipping through the one that I have had for the past few months, I feel like I could recommend it. It's called Fundamental Photoshop (Second Edition), A Complete Introduction. It's by Droblas Greenberg and Greenberg (sounds like a law firm or something...) and published by Osborne/McGraw Hill. It covers both Mac and Windows version 3. Very easy to read and understand. If you are thinking about buying one, I would wait for the version 4 book if it's not out already. The 4.0 software has already been out for about two months.
Also, if anyone cares, the academic version (on CD ROM) of Adobe Photoshop 4.0 that is available at some college bookstores is the exact same version as sold retail in stores, but it's about half the price.
